May 14, 1:00 p.m.—A 27-year-old man on the 1300 block of East 54th Street was talking on his cell phone when three unknown teenagers approached him. One of the teens asked to use the man’s cell phone and then demanded his backpack. The victim eventually surrendered his belongings to the offenders. All three offenders are described as black, 15 to 18 years of age, and 5-foot-9-inches.May 15, 1:15 a.m.—A 28-year-old man was entering his apartment building on the 5500 block of South Dorchester Avenue when he was tackled from behind by two unknown men. Both offenders struck the victim repeatedly in the face. After stealing a cell phone, wallet, and leather jacket, the offenders fled the scene. – Justyna Kruk
