Opening Reception: The Allure of Matter at the Smart
Smart Museum and Wrightwood 659, 3-7 p.m., free
On exhibit simultaneously at the Smart and Wrightwood 659, this colossal collection shows off the works of Chinese contemporary artists. Using the very-ordinary material of gunpowder, iron nails, and everything in between, this opening and overall exhibition is certainly not something to miss.
