Chicago moves up, not that anyone should care

As Ethan rep

As Ethan reported in regrads to my earlier post, Chicago moved up from 15th to 9th in the US News College rankings…not that it actually matters. While it is nice to think that Chicago will be percieved better by outsiders (and will probably get more applicants), it is absurd that the college has gone from the 15th to the 9th best college in the country. Trust me, I was at Chicago when it was the 15th best and when it was the 9th best, there was no difference between the two years, yet somehow US News thinks Chicago got significantly better in between. I’ll probably talk more about this when I found out how they actually changed the criteria for evaluating colleges.
