So on Thursday I was walking back to work after lunch down Kimbark Ave. and I spotted two very odd cars. They were grey Volkswagon Beetles that had the name ImmersiveMedia on it. Also, it had all these funky instruments on the wheels and on top of the car.So I did some searching around, and Immersive Media is the firm doing the image capture for Google Street View. Also, Kimbark is a tiny street in Hyde Park that is almost entirely residential, so this means that probably means that all of Hyde Park is going to be captured. I don’t know what the turn around time is, but I’m pretty excited. Maybe I’ll even be lucky enough to have been captured in one of the photos.
