Crime Report: May 16, 2006

May 14, 9:29 p.m.—A 21-year-old woman was attacked and robbed on the 5400 block of South Kimbark Avenue. Two men approached the woman and asked if they could speak with her. The offenders then grabbed her, pushed her to the ground, took her khaki canvas handbag, and fled eastbound toward Nichols Park.

The handbag contained $75, credit cards, and keys.

One offender was a 6-foot black man, 180 pounds, and between 20 and 25 years old. The other offender was a 5-foot-10 black man, 170 pounds, and 20 to 25 years old. Both men were wearing dark-hooded sweatshirts, dark jeans, and bandanas over their faces.
