In the May 19 article, “Spartacists Denounce Admin’s Ban of Member,” the Maroon inaccurately reported the reasons why third-year in the College Tom Discepola and 19-year-old Hyde Park resident Brian Stapleton were arrested in February. The two members of the Spartacus Youth Club were arrested for chanting in support of fourth-years Jeremy Cohan and Ben Fink, who were displaying a sign with swastikas and asking passersby to dismember plastic baby dolls as part of a protest against Marine Corps recruiters in the Reynolds Club.

Discepola and Stapleton were not responsible for the sign or the plastic dolls.

The Maroon regrets and apologizes for this error.
