While you're fast asleep on Friday night, a few University students will be frantically scribbling away at scripts by candlelight.
Sleeping in on Saturday morning? A handful of bright-eyed actors will be up and ready to rehearse these masterpieces at the ungodly hour of 9:00 a.m.
Without spending a dime, you can see Chicago students do what they do best: put off their work until the last possible minute. Naked Theater's production of 24-Hour Playz, a show that is written, directed, and rehearsed in the span ofyou guessed it24 hours, is sure to be a unique theatrical event.
A wide range of experience will be represented by the writers, directors, and cast. "We have actors who have never been onstage before and seasoned veterans," Jarrett Colby Belle-Isle, a first-year in the College and organizer of the production, said.
Six to eight short plays will be performed in the Bartlett Arts Center this Saturday night. The doors open at 9:00 p.m. and the free show will begin shortly thereafter.
