Order of the "C" recognizes male athletes
Chicago's male student-athletes recognized the best among their own at the 102nd Annual Order of the "C" Banquet Tuesday.
Fourth-year heavyweight wrestler Sean Barnes was honored with the coveted Amos Alonzo Stagg Medal, presented to the senior athlete with the best all-around record for athletics, scholarship, and character. Barnes won two UAA individual titles and a regional championship at heavyweight, was a three-time member of the UAA All-Academic team, and will attend Pritzker in the fall.
The other major department-wide honor went to fourth-year distance runner Joe Tonna, who received the Mary Jean Mulvaney Scholar-Athlete Award for earning grade point average in his third and fourth years among any senior athlete with three or more varsity letters. Tonna earned his letters in cross-country and track and field.

Stampf Award for high values and integrity in a team setting by a senior men's basketball player; fourth-year third baseman/catcher T.J. Rajcevich, who was recognized with the J. Kyle Anderson Award for character, leadership, integrity, dedication to the team, and on-the-field contributions by a senior baseball player; and first-year fifth singles player Bharath Sithian, honored with the Max Davidson Award for dedication to the sport of tennis.
