Crime Report

An aggravated robbery occurred on May 3 at 9 p.m. near 1300 East 55th Street. A woman was walking eastbound alone, when she felt her purse being pulled. A man then appeared and told her he had a knife. He then pulled the purse off the victim’s shoulder and fled west on 55th Street. No knife was ever actually displayed and the offender remains at large.

Another aggravated robbery occurred on May 4 at 10 p.m. near 1100 East 56th Street. A man was walking alone on the street when two men approached him from opposite sides. They demanded his money, threatening to shoot him. The victim surrendered the cash he was carrying and the offenders fled the area. The offenders never actually displayed a handgun and remain at large.
