The Maroons (111, 01) fell from 19th to 22nd in the D3hoops.com poll while climbing from 21st to 20th in the USA Today/ESPN standings in rankings released Wednesday. The shift in the D3hoops.com ranking came on the heels of the teams first defeat of the year, a 7858 road loss to rival Wash U.
However, there was plenty of movement in the USA Today/ESPN poll, with UWLaCrosse (131) falling to 21st from 17th and UWOshkosh (104) falling to 24th from 19th to offset the rise of McMurry (120) from 23rd to 18th, allowing Chicago to take advantage. The Womens Basketball Coaches Association voters have never ranked the Maroons higher.
Chicago will take on Case (84, 10) at Cleveland tonight, and heads down to Atlanta for a bout with Emory (102, 01) Sunday afternoon.
