Crime Report: April 21, 2006

April 15, 1:50 a.m.—An armed robbery occurred on the 5600 block of Harper Avenue. A 20-year-old man was walking southbound on Harper Avenue when three offenders approached him from behind. One of the offenders reportedly placed an unknown object to the victim’s back and said, “Give me everything.”

The victim surrendered his cell phone, a wallet containing $100 in cash, a set of keys, and a fountain pen. The victim was unable to provide a detailed description of the offenders, who were last seen running northbound on Harper Avenue.

April 15, 11:30 p.m.—An aggravated robbery occurred on the 5600 block of South Dorchester Avenue. A 22-year-old man was walking on the street when he was approached by another man, who demanded the victim’s money and his book bag. The victim surrendered his book bag and $19 in cash. The offender was described as a black male, approximately 25 years old, 6-foot-2 and 250 lbs., and was last seen running eastbound from the scene of the crime.
