Crime Report 2-22-05

A robbery occurred on February 20 at 4:20 p.m. at 5400 South Woodlawn Avenue. Two men approached a man walking down the street, pushed him against the wall, and demanded his possessions. The assailants took the victim’s wallet, cell phone, and jewelry before fleeing the area.

Another robbery occurred at 1100 East 57th Street on February 19 at 6:55 p.m. Two individuals carrying handguns approached a man walking down the street, demanded his valuables, and fled the scene when he refused to hand them anything.

Another robbery occurred on February 18 at 2:15 p.m. near 1300 East 54th Street.

A man was entering his vehicle when two individuals approached him, displaying handguns and demanding his property. Nothing was stolen.

Police believe that these robberies, along with a previous robbery on February 9, were committed by the same offenders. They are described as black men, one in his 30s, 5-foot-10, weighing 230 pounds, and the other weighing 180 pounds, in his 40s, about 6 feet. The second man is described as wearing dark clothing.
