Will Baude throws back to a fantastic post by former blogger and U of C professor Jacob Levy regarding voting theory when issues, political parties, and voting jurisdictions all get tangled up. I hadn’t read the post before, and I’m glad I did because it was an enlightening read from any number of perspectives: (1) the unintended roles that parties can; (2) what it means to be a swing voter or not; (3) how a voter should vote and why; and (4) how the setup of the U.S. government influences these issues. As a perpetually torn American voter, I found the post specifically enlightening.
