The House passed a bill today that would give D.C. a voting member in Congress and would add a second member that would give an extra member to the next state in line (which would be the heavily Republican Utah).I’m not sure why this doesn’t have to be a constitutional amendment, but this is likely to have a pretty profound impact on the nation’s snarkiest license plate slogan. Also, this might put some slack in the political pressure to make sure that the D.C. baseball team doesn’t take the name “Senators” which it use to have. All good developments. Particularly because it means that New Hampshire will be able to take its rightful place as undisputed best license plate slogan in the country.
