Two men under the Metra tracks on 55th Street placed a woman in a choke hold, hit her twice and stole her wallet.

February 24, 9:37 p.m.

A 47-year-old woman walking on 55th Street beneath the Metra tracks was approached from behind by two men. One placed her in a choke hold and held her against the wall while the other displayed a knife and demanded her money. After hitting her twice and taking her wallet, the offenders ran north on Lake Park. The suspects were described as black and in their early 20s. One was described as approximately 6 foot 1 and thin; the other 5 foot 7 and 200 pounds.
