Steve Dillard has announced that Southern Appeal is shutting down. As Steve correctly predicts, this was quite a shock to me and judging by the post’s comments, everyone else as well. Southern Appeal was one of the first blogs I started reading and became a daily destination for me for a number of years. I agreed with Steve and his friends on some issues and disagreed with them on many, many others, but Southern Appeal gave me a glimpse into three worlds I previously knew little about: law, the south, and conservative Christianity. For all of that I am grateful. I would like to wish Steve all the best as he moves on from Southern Appeal.
