Marshall Oium
The first start of his collegiate career was certainly memorable for first-year quarterback Marshall Oium. Passing for 362 yards and three touchdowns, the Temecula, California native led the Maroons to a 57–27 defeat over Lewis and Clark and into the record books. The 57 points set a new school standard for the most points scored in a single game in the modern era.
Vindya Dayananda
Returning to the courts already in top form, third-year Vindya Dayananda earned league recognition after teaming up with second-year Marissa Lin to take the doubles crown with a clean 6–0, 6–3 sweep over host DePauw at the Wilson/ITA Central Region Championships September 21–24. Dayananda’s solid outing to jumpstart the new year came on the heels of an 18–6 season where she posted a perfect 3–0 in UAA contests and won 9 of her last 10 matches.
Marissa Lin
In addition to pairing with Dayananda for the top spot in doubles play, second-year Marissa Lin also took top honors on the singles court. Last year’s Regional and UAA Rookie of the Year tore apart the competition, taking her first five matches before dismissing DePauw’s Janelle Arita 6–2, 6–3 in the championship round.
