Though members of the Major Activities Board (MAB) have not yet released the lineup of artists playing Summer Breeze this year, the Facebook page for hip-hop producer AraabMUZIK announced a May 18 performance at the University of Chicago yesterday, as reported by the Daily Sophist. The show is also listed on the official Web site. Fourth-year Lyndsey McKenna, the chair of MAB, would not confirm whether AraabMUZIK will be part of Summer Breeze, which is set for May 18.
“MAB chooses not to confirm or deny which artists are playing Summer Breeze at this time,” she said.
McKenna said MAB will be announcing the acts sometime in the next few weeks. Following legal protocol, MAB does not release the names of the artists far in advance. However, MAB does not prevent artists from announcing shows at their own discretion, she said.
