Nelly, AraabMUZIK, and Lunice will be performing at this year’s Summer Breeze, according to fourth-year Lyndsey McKenna, chairperson of the Major Activities Board (MAB). The show will be held on Saturday, May 18 at 5 p.m.
Though MAB waits until shortly before their annual shows to announce the acts, this year was plagued with leaks. On April 20, a post on the Facebook page of hip-hop producer AraabMUZIK said he would be performing at the University of Chicago on May 18. And earlier this week, the Daily Sophist reported according to four anonymous sources that rapper Nelly would be playing Summer Breeze. The remaining act, Lunice, is a producer, DJ, and one half of the rap group TNGHT.
Advance tickets will be $20 for students and $25 for faculty and staff and will be marked up $5 at the door. They will be sold at the Reynolds Club box office starting on Monday.
