Trauma center activists have gathered downtown near the entrance to a University fundraising event today at approximately 5:30 p.m. The activists have blocked traffic on Michigan Avenue and Chicago Police officers have begun making arrests. All nine of the activists who were linked in lockboxes have been arrested by CPD.
Editors’ Note: One of the nine arrested protesters is an outgoing co-editor-in-chief of The Chicago Maroon. She has had no editorial involvement in The Maroon‘s coverage of this event.
