The Barack Obama Presidential Center (OPC) will open its doors to the public in June 2026, former President Obama announced last month. The Center’s 19.3-acre campus in Jackson Park will include a museum devoted to Obama’s presidency, a basketball court, a community garden, and a branch of the Chicago Public Library.
Head Photo Editor Nathaniel Rodwell-Simon captured the exterior of the Center’s campus on South Stony Island Avenue, which has been under construction since September 2021.
