To better understand the use of generative artificial intelligence at UChicago, the Maroon would like to know how you observe AI being used in the classroom, RSOs, research, and other University-affiliated organizations. Submit a short letter about your personal experiences or situations you have observed over the past academic year.
We do not publish anonymous submissions, submissions that directly name other students, or submissions that do not speak to the author’s personal experiences or views. The Maroon may not publish every submission it receives, but we aim to reflect the diversity of opinions shared by our readers.
Submit your letter to this Google form by 11:59 p.m. CST on Sunday, March 1. We are looking for submissions that do the following:
- Make their point in 300 words or fewer.
- Refer to specific examples of generative AI use you have observed or participated in, rather than general statements.
- Will not be and hasn’t been published anywhere other than the Maroon.
- Include the author’s full name, year, and/or University affiliation.
An editor will be in contact with you if we choose to publish your submission. Please contact editor@chicagomaroon.com with any questions.
