Last week Mets stars Pedro Martinez and Carlos Delgado were video taped attending a cock fight in the Dominican Republic. The video made it onto YouTube (although it was quickly taken down) and it seems like some are people upset that Pedro attended the event.While I doubt I would enjoy seeing a couple of chickens peck at each other I find it pretty hard to care about this. I mean, it seems kind of silly for me (or anyone) to get up in arms about the rights of an animal that they regularly eat. This really couldn’t be further from the Michael Vick case (which was over dog fighting), even though it seems like a couple of animal rights groups are trying to make it into that.
