May 7, 2:15 a.m.—Two male offenders attacked a man and stole his wallet as he was walking on the 5600 block of South Kimbark Avenue after attending a party.
The man and his friend were walking northbound when the two offenders approached them. His friend ran from the scene and called for help, while the offenders struck the victim with their fists and knocked him to the ground. The offenders then took his wallet, which contained $20 and credit cards, and fled the scene on foot.
A responding police car toured the surrounding area but did not find the offenders.
One offender was a black man, 6-foot, 175 pounds, around 20 years old. He was wearing a ski mask and dark clothing.
The other offender was a black man, 5-foot-10, around 20 years old, with a dark complexion. He was wearing a dark shirt with a horizontal stripe.
May 7, 11:30 a.m.—Two women were held up at gunpoint on the 6300 block of South Kimbark Avenue.
The women were walking to a parked vehicle when two men approached them. One offender displayed a handgun and demanded money. Both women surrendered their purses, and the offenders fled southeast on foot.
One purse contained $80 and personal items, while the other contained $30 and personal items.
One offender was a black man, 6-foot, 160 pounds, between 20 and 25 years old, with a dark complexion. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
The other offender was a black man, 5-foot-10, 160 pounds, between 20 and 25 years old, with a dark complexion and a mustache. He was also wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
