UChicago is one of 31 schools to agree to end their partnership with the PhD Project, a nonprofit promoting diversity in business Ph.D. programs, after a federal investigation into alleged racial discrimination. A University spokesperson said the partnership ended before the investigation.

Though he lacks the power to do so unilaterally, President Trump moved Thursday to “dismantle” the Department of Education, which determines or provides financial assistance for many UChicago students.
