Rugby is one of the fastest growing sports in America, particularly at the collegiate level. At UChicago, the men’s team just made a deep run in the National Collegiate Rugby Division II Tournament, even appearing in the Championship.
In “The Rematch” between Ireland and New Zealand (the All Blacks) on November 1 at Soldier Field, the All Blacks won convincingly, with the game providing an insight into the development of men’s rugby in the U.S. at large.
