The Unorthodox Olympic Rise of Jesse Ssengonzi

After recording a 53.76 in the 100m butterfly to break the Ugandan national record at the Paris Olympics, Jesse Ssengonzi (A.B. ‘24) briefly stepped away from the pool to enter the world of consulting. However, he soon realized that his journey in the water wasn’t over, and he is now back in the lanes training for a second Olympic run at LA28.
