Win two tickets to Summer Breeze

Answer the Tuesday Question and win tickets to see Nas, Damian Marley, and the Dirty Projectors play Hutch!

UPDATE: The Tuesday Question is over and done with, but you can still win tickets to Summer Breeze by answering our Friday Question.

With MAB welcoming Nas, the Dirty Projectors, and Damian Marley to jam and rock in Hutch Courtyard on May 15, it ain't hard to tell that this year's Summer Breeze Music Festival will be one of the most-anticipated campus concerts in recent memory. And now's your chance to see it all for free.

In conjunction with MAB, the Maroon is raffling off two tickets to Summer Breeze. All you have to do is answer the Tuesday Question: What's your favorite lyric from a song by Nas, Damian Marley, or the Dirty Projectors? (If nothing comes to mind, giving us the first Nas, Damian Marley, or Dirty Projectors lyric that Google turns up works just as well.)

Copy and paste your answer into the comments box below, include your real e-mail address, and you'll be entered to win a pair of tickets. The winner will be chosen and contacted Thursday afternoon. If the random drawing doesn't go your way this time around, check back Friday for our next raffle and a chance to win two more Summer Breeze tickets.

Winner needs a valid UChicago ID to claim the tickets. In case of rain, tickets will still be honored at Mandel Hall. The Maroon will only use e-mail addresses to contact the winner.

To buy tickets, visit the MAB table in the Reynolds Club between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. any day this week.

Three monkeys sitting under a coconut tree (really?)
Discussing things as they are said to be
Said one to the others, now listen you two
There’s a strange rumor that can’t be true
They say man was ascended from our noble race
But the very idea is a big disgrace
No monkey ever deserted his wife
Or her baby, to ruin their lives
The monkeys drift is mine (that’s right)

Everything will eventually come to an end

If Heaven was a mile away
And you could ride by the gates
Would you try to run inside when it opens would you try to die today?
Would you pray louder finally believing His power?
Even if you couldn’t see, but you could feel would you still doubt him?
How would you start acting?
Would you try to put the ki’s down?
Thinking every drug sell that you make in the streets He can see now
Would a fiend even want to get high, would he stop smoking?
If he knew on his own two feet he could just stroll in
To get away and escape from the craziness
And I bet you there’s a Heaven for an atheist
It’s hard taking this
Racist planet where they take another brother in a handcuff
Even if he innocent nigga get on the car put your motherfucking hands up
Thinking I’m a lose it
My mom’s in chemo
Three times a week, yo keep trying but people
Is hard and God your young soldier’s not so bold
But needs you
This world’s my home but world I would leave

-Nas, If Heaven Was a Mile aWAY

these last days and times”

It forgot where it started
So we all gather here for the dearly departed

Nas, Hip Hop Is Dead

Your hair is like an eagle
Your two eyes are like two doves
But our bed is like a failure
All day up in the family
At the waning of the light
To the chamber that conceived me
Call on me, call on me, call on me

The Dirty Projectors – Spray paint (the walls)

It feels good to say what I want
To knock things down
It feels good to see the disgust in their eyes

Oh I’m wanna go wild
And spray paint the walls
Oh I’m wanna go wild
And spray paint the walls

I don’t want to see the plan succeed
There won’t be room for people like me
My life is their disease
My life is their disease

Oh I’m wanna go wild
And spray paint the walls
Oh I’m wanna go wild
And spray paint the walls
Oh I’m wanna get wild
And spray paint the walls
