A male victim was robbed near 5300 S. Harper Avenue at 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 13. Two men approached the victim as he walked down the street, grabbed him by the shoulders, and emptied his pockets. The victim was able to break free and escaped unharmed. The assailants are both at large, and one of them is described as having a chipped tooth.
Between 5:15 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Friday, November 14, a home near the 4900 block of S. Ellis Avenue was allegedly burglarized. Upon returning home that evening, the owner discovered various video games and video game units missing, including a PS2, an X-Box, and a Nintendo Gamecube. Police said that there was no evidence of forced entry into the home.
On Saturday, November 15, a home near the 1000 block of E. Hyde Park Boulevard was robbed between 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The victim returned to his home and discovered a television set, a CD player, a Sony Playstation, a cell phone, and two jewelry boxes missing. The owner of the home claimed that his front door was left closed, but unlocked. Police are still investigating the incident.
