Top Team: Women’s Tennis

Although the squad fell short in the first round of play at nationals, it still walked away from the St. Peter, Minnesota court with a place in University of Chicago athletics history. The 2006 team marked the first one to earn NCAA postseason berth in the program’s history. With a strong core of rookies and some valuable veteran leadership added to the mix, the Maroons finished the year with a 15–9 overall record and a 6–6 showing against nationally ranked foes.
