You know this one hurts

While Bush’s poll numbers would have a hard time getting any worse, CNN

While Bush’s poll numbers would have a hard time getting any worse, CNN reported today that not only is Clinton ridiculously more popular than Bush, but that:

When asked which man was more honest as president, poll respondents were more evenly divided, with the numbers — 46 percent Clinton to 41 percent Bush — falling within the poll’s margin of error

Regardless of whether it falls in the margin of error or not, the fact that Clinton and Bush are even in the same league ought to deeply hurt Bush and all the Republicans that viewed Clinton as the illegitimate president. Bush has always cast himself as the anti-Clinton. He offers none of Clinton’s charm, charisma, or knowledge, all you get with Bush is simple, down-to-earth honesty (at least that is how he sold himself). I don’t see how things could get much worse for Bush…(Kudos to Dan Drezner)
