Crime Report 10-22-04

An attempted robbery occurred on Sunday, October 17, at 7:00 a.m. While walking near 5600 South Woodlawn Avenue, an individual was approached by someone holding a handgun who demanded the individual’s possessions. The individual did not comply and eventually the offender left the area.

On the same day, at 7:15 a.m., a man was approached by a car while walking near 5300 South Woodlawn Avenue. When someone got out of the car and displayed a handgun, the man surrendered all his possessions. The offender then got back into the car and left the scene. The offender was driving a 1998 Jeep SUV, and luckily the victim was able to catch the license plate number. The offender remains at large.
