Crime Report 11-23-04

A strong-arm robbery occurred at Nichols Park (near 5400 South Kimbark Avenue) on November 17 at 6:35 p.m. A man was walking in the park when two men approached him and asked for the time. After he told them the time, the two men accosted and kicked him down, demanding his wallet. He ultimately surrendered $60.

An armed robbery occurred on November 18 at 9:49 p.m. near 5400 South Kenwood Avenue. A man was walking in the park when two individuals approached him from behind, displayed a handgun, and hit the victim on the head with the gun. The attackers then threw the victim to the ground and forced him to surrender his money.

An armed robbery occurred on November 19 near 1300 East 58th Street at 7:20 p.m. A woman walking down the street encountered a man who demanded her money. He grabbed her purse and fled west on 58th Street. The purse contained $60.
