Crime Report

A robbery occured on the 1400 block of 53rd Street on Monday, January 17, at 7 p.m. A man was walking down the street when another man came up behind him, grabbed his collar, pulled him in an alley, and holding a gun to his face said, “Hand me your money.” The victim took out his wallet, and dropped his money on the ground, at which point the offender said, “This is your lucky day,” and bent over to pick up the money. The victim then fled the scene. He described the robber as a hispanic man, age 35 to 40, 5’7″ and 200 pounds.
