6–7:30 p.m. Baird Harper, visiting faculty in the Creative Writing Department, will discuss his recently published debut novel, Red Light Run, a tale of 11 characters in the aftermath of a car wreck in a Chicago suburb. Seminary Co-Op, free.

9 a.m. The Logan Center Bluesfest kicks off on Friday and will continue through Sunday with performances from the Elvin Bishop Big Fun Trio and Mike Ledbetter Trio, as well as various music workshops and panel discussions.
