“Welcome back to the Wild World of Animal Crossing. I’m Rover, your cab driver for today.
“So you’re ready to move to a new town, huh? Already maxed out your old mansion and perfected your town’s agriculture? No problem, I know just the place. They’ve been looking for someone new to revitalize this old place. It’s a nice town—beautiful scenery, rolling hills, orange groves, and a great oceanfront—but the residents keep moving out because there hasn’t been enough social activity. They need some young blood like you with friends that will join in too. There’s even an open spot all set up for you.
“Of course, what you want to do with your new home is all up to you. If it were up to me, I’d say you should get to working and harvesting some fruit. How else are you going to get a kickin’ pad with bar games, Wild West vistas, or an in-house gym? You’ve got to get out there and start trading, talking, and hitting the shop every day.
“I know you don’t have much time, but that’s why you can now hang out with everyone on the road using your new Nintendo DS. It’s wireless capabilities allow you to hop online and talk with your friends from anywhere. Set up your own fishing contest or just team up to beautify the landscape. Even better, if you just take a quick taxi past that town gate, you can visit other towns with their own rare fruits, completely unique geographies, and specialty items. Best of all it’s free. Hey, have your girlfriend walk around. She’ll probably like it too.
“Don’t forget the other townsfolk either. Animals from all walks of life have settled here, and they’ve got some jokes and stories to tell you. Watch out for your grumpy penguin neighbor Hopper, though, because he’ll give it to you if you don’t watch it.
“You seem like you’ll fit in. After all, you get to decide what you want to do and when you want to do it. Just relax a little bit and enjoy yourself! This world is what you make of it.
“So, pal, what’s your name and what are some of your favorite things to do…?”
