Just to follow up on my earlier post, we did have more intelligent content on the world’s newest nation in Tuesday’s Maroon. Bridget Fahey offers insight from her first-hand experience in the country, while Tom Tian takes a less optimistic angle in his cartoon. When Mother Earth gives birth to a new nation, we do it up big. I’m sure we’ll do the same thing for Vermont.My two cents? Kosovo doesn’t really have worthwhile resources, political or economic clout, or much of a military. But then, neither does Albania, so maybe they can both form a support group or something, and go bowling once a month with Slovenia and Montenegro.
