A UChicago United for Palestine (UCUP) walkout and rally on October 11 escalated into physical confrontations between protesters and police after protesters locked Cobb Gate, graffitied University buildings and art, and surrounded a University of Chicago Police Department (UCPD) police car that was holding a detained protester. Police responded with pepper spray and batons, and several protesters pushed and kicked officers. According to a University spokesperson, officers from UCPD and the Chicago Police Department (CPD) arrested three protesters for “criminal damage” and “battery to a police officer.”
This photo essay is an approximate timeline of the protest, from the end of the rally on the main quad to when protesters dispersed from the area between Ratner Athletic Center and Court Theatre.

They are the rejects and dregs of society getting mainstream societal approval. Everything is the wrong way round.
Stop worrying about the word “Islamophobia”, it’s a shut down word like ‘racism’. Anti-whiteism and semitism is rife within the university, but nobody in power cares about that. Certainly not the Maroon and its DEI hires.

I was reading a study on dealing with an invasive species, especially those that are large and violent, can be quite complex due to the need to balance safety & legal issues.
Using above-ground acoustic systems can legally deter certain species. Loud sounds or species-specific classical music could be used to scare them away, though this might have varying effectiveness.
While the situation looks dire, the goal should always lean towards being extremely animalistic (mirroring their behavior while exaggerating yours) whenever possible, and focusing on offensive extreme aggression rather than deterrence, especially given the species’ invasive status and likelihood of it being murderous.
In summary, the study found the only way to fight a violent invasive species incapable of behaving on its own (pigs), is with eXtreme medieval actions, all LEGAL of course.
Then and only then will the invader retreat, and likely think twice before engaging in their violent behavior ever again. Which is why I’m pleased the University responded as it did. Students will not get away with assaulting police officers and behaving erratically. This is a place of learning, not a zoo.

Ask questions of your company’s DEI policies or during your mandated trainings
“You say this is a safe space, from who exactly?”
“Racial and social justice… against who?”
“You say you want a diverse workforce that represents our community. What is it about our current workforce that you want less of or want to change?”
“We give 94% of our grants to BIPOC or communities of color. Who isn’t a BIPOC or a community of color?”
“We have an Employee Resource Group for our Asian, Black, Hispanic, and Indigenous employees, who don’t we have one for?”
“Did you know there’s nine nationally designated European American ethnic heritage months, why don’t we recognize or celebrate those?”
“Why are the people in our mandated training videos being unethical, harassing others, or committing fraud always White?”
“You say you prioritize marginalized communities. Who isn’t a marginalized community, and if you’re prioritizing one community over another, which community is marginalized?”

The usual script unfolds: stoke chaos, provoke the police, and when the pepper spray and batons inevitably come out, cry foul.
Did we learn nothing from the Floyd riots?
Figures that the same degenerates who idolize a convicted felon behave exactly the same—vandalism, violence, and victimhood on full display.
They demand immunity from accountability.
They have been taught that their cause sanctifies every act of destruction.
This is the result of D.E.I. culture that nurtures grievance over responsibility: a relentless cycle of outrage with no regard for law, order, or reality.
