A robbery occurred at 6:40 p.m. on Friday in Nichols Park, on 53rd Street and Kenwood Avenue. A neighborhood resident was walking through the park when he three men confronted him, one of whom asked him to empty his pockets. The resident refused and kept walking until two of the men surrounded him. One of the offenders held his hand behind the resident’s back as if he had a weapon. The victim then gave over a small amount of money. After one offender took the money, the victim asked whether he could have had some bus money and the offender returned a couple of dollars. The victim then walked home. The first offender is described as a black man, 17-18 years old, 5’7″-8″, and 140 lbs. with a dark complexion. He was wearing a dark puffy coat and black pants. The second is described as a black man, 19 years of age, 5’8″ – 5’9″ with a dark complexion. He was wearing a black hooded puffy coat and dark pants. The third offender is described as a black man, about 5’8″. He also had a black puffy coat.
