Correction: May 11, 2007

The May 4 news brief and accompanying photo caption “Author Sees Greek Tragedy in Pop Culture” failed to include the entire title of the lecture series. The complete event title was the “Sigmund H. Danziger, Jr. Distinguished Lecture in the Humanities.”

The May 8 voices shortcut, “Elliott Smith’s New Moon,” incorrectly states that Smith took his own life. Although it was widely reported that Smith died from self-inflicted stab wounds, the coroner was unable to determine conclusively the cause of his death.
