It wouldn’t be the Editors Blog if I didn’t tie the election in with some research out of the Chicago School.Jesse Shapiro, a fellow in the Econ department here who is doing some awesome research, has found that the best indicator of a candidate’s success is what they look like. On top of that, as soon as they start to open their mouth they do themselves in.Cool stuff, but also kind of obvious (although aren’t the conclusions of all economists?). I think the Onion says the same thing here, only funnier. Update: Here is the paper.
