A residential burglary occurred on the 5200 block of South Woodlawn Avenue between 7:30 a.m. on March 31 and 8:30 a.m. on April 1. According to police reports, the offender entered the residence by forcing open the front door. A cell phone and $100 were taken.
A burglary occurred at an apartment complex on the 1600 block of East 55th Street between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on March 31. The offender entered the apartment after tearing off the door. Twenty DVDs were stolen.
An apartment located on the 5500 block of South Everett Avenue was burglarized between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on April 4. The offender broke a rear window and then reached inside to unlock a door. A PlayStation game system, PlayStation games, and an unknown amount of coins were stolen.
An apartment building on the 1000 block of East Hyde Park Boulevard was broken into on April 1. The offenders entered the basement of the building and forcibly opened a laundry coin machine, taking an unknown amount of quarters.
