Who We Are

Founded in 1892, the Chicago Maroon is the independent student newspaper of the University of Chicago. The organization’s flagship print edition is distributed every two weeks during autumn, winter, and spring quarters of the academic year. Additionally, the Maroon maintains chicagomaroon.com throughout the year.

Hustling

“Hustling,” our term for recruitment, takes place every quarter. Spring 2026 Hustling dates are March 25th and March 26th. Hustling sessions will take place at 5:30 p.m. in our office in the basement of Ida Noyes.
