Crime Report 2-26-08

February 22, 6:46 p.m.—An 18-year-old male victim was approached by two male offenders while walking on the 5100 block of South Dorchester Avenue. The first offender approached the victim, asking for a cigarette, while the second remained on the street. When the victim responded that he did not smoke, the first offender displayed a handgun, and the second offender crossed the street to search the victim’s pockets. After removing the victim’s book bag, leather coat, and cell phone, both offenders ran southbound on Dorchester and then eastbound on 52nd Street. Both offenders are described as black and in their teens; the first was wearing a beige or brown coat, while the second dressed in dark clothing.
