Roberts named All-American second year in a row
After a near perfect season in which she led the Maroons to the regional championship game, second-year Hannah Roberts was selected to the Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Team on Monday.
Roberts earned a 19–5 record with an NCAA-leading 0.25 ERA. She yielded just six earned runs in 166.2 innings pitched and finished ninth in the country in strikeouts per game with 9.5.
Often overpowering batters with devastating movement, Roberts was selected to the 2004 second team. She was a third-team All-American in her rookie season last year and now holds the top two spots on the school’s single-season ERA list.
