Two robberies took place this week. The first occurred at 10 p.m. Monday night on the 5500 block of South Everett Avenue. A 32-year-old man was attempting to park his car in an alley when he was approached by two men who punched him in the eye. The offenders then handcuffed the man’s hands and feet. A second robbery occurred at 8:50 p.m. Sunday on the 1700 block of 55th Street. After exiting a building into an alley, a pizza delivery driver was approached by a man who pointed a gun at him. The offender demanded that the victim give up his money and, after a struggle, took money from the victim’s pockets. Someone in the building heard the racket and came out, but the offender ran off immediately with the money. The offender is described as black male 25 to 30 years old, 5’10”, with a dark complexion.
