Crime Report

An attempted robbery occurred at 5300 South Kimbark Avenue at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 16. While a woman was walking north on Kimbark, a man carrying a large piece of wood approached her. He demanded that she give up all her possessions; otherwise he would beat her with the wood. The woman did not comply, and the attacker fled.

A robbery occurred at 5100 South Woodlawn at 9:21 p.m. on Sunday, October 17. As a woman was leaving the “Mr. G’s” convenience store, an individual grabbed her from behind and threw her into the street. As she was on the ground, the individual took her leather purse, money, and other possessions. A second offender was also believed to be involved. The woman refused medical attention afterwards. The offenders are still at large.
