Photo Essay: UChi-Con Brings Together Creativity and Passion for Anime

Thousands of artists, cosplayers, and anime lovers gathered on campus for the Japanese Animation Society’s annual convention.

The Japanese Animation Society hosted the annual UChi-Con at Ida Noyes Hall and Harper Memorial Library on January 28, 2023. The eight-hour event brought thousands from around the city to panels, artist tables, anime screenings, a maid café, and a cosplay contest. In this photo essay, our photographers have documented UChi-Con’s best moments.
