Who We Are

Founded in 1892, the Chicago Maroon is the independent student newspaper of the University of Chicago. The organization’s flagship publication is the broadsheet distributed every two weeks during autumn, winter, and spring quarters of the academic year. Additionally, the Chicago Maroon maintains chicagomaroon.com throughout the year.

Hustling

“Hustling,” our term for recruitment, happens every quarter. Come by to our general information session on Thursday, January 9 at 5 p.m. in the Maroon office, which is located in the basement of Ida Noyes Hall (1212 E. 59th Street).

Can’t make it or have other questions in the meantime? Feel free to get in touch at editor@chicagomaroon.com! You can also follow us on Facebook, X, or Instagram for more information. We hope to meet you soon!
