Via Gapers Block: ApplyWise, a college-admissions consulting site, ranks the University of Chicago as the most Hogwarts-y of all schools in the US of A, thanks to Hutch Commons (not “Hutch Hall”), the housing system, the gargoyles, and the Phoenix, which appears on the side of each official U of C rape whistle, an item ominously bequeathed to every last student during orientation. It worries me that “similiarity to wizard castle” might be an actual criterion that a 12th-grader would use in choosing schools, but to each his own.All I have to say about ApplyWise’s findings is um, yeah. And the kids here wear cloaks, too!
